This extraordinary harp, Lyon & Healy special Style 13, carved in the lavish rococo style of King Louis XV’s era, is a true artistic and musical masterpiece. Its design showcases intricate leaves, scrollwork, and seashell-inspired motifs, all richly adorned with 23-karat gold leaf applied in four stunning finishes, mirror, matte, oil gilding, and 18-karat lemon gold. With 46 strings spanning from 0 octave G to 7 octave D, it produces a bright, resonant sound with remarkable fullness and tonal richness. Exceptionally rare, only two of these harps are known to exist, with its twin preserved in the Lyon & Healy Museum, making this instrument both a collector’s treasure and a symbol of timeless elegance.
